Create a stunning, no-bake Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle. This recipe layers rich chocolate cake, creamy Irish cream cheesecake filling, and chocolate cookie crumbs for a decadent, impressive adult dessert perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 box chocolate cake, baked according to package directions and crumbled (or 2 cups store-bought chocolate cake pieces)
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • Chocolate shavings or extra Baileys for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake layers and allow them to cool completely. Crumble the cooled cake into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Mix in the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract until fully combined. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with the cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Gently fold the Baileys cream cheese mixture into the chocolate pudding until just combined. This forms the creamy cheesecake layer.
  4. In another clean bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cheesecake mixture to create a lighter, mousse-like texture.
  5. Begin layering the trifle in a large glass bowl or individual serving glasses. Start with a layer of crumbled chocolate cake on the bottom.
  6. Top the cake layer with half of the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
  7. Carefully spoon half of the Baileys chocolate cheesecake mixture over the cookie layer, spreading it evenly.
  8. Repeat the layers: add the remaining chocolate cake, followed by the remaining crushed cookies.
  9. Top with the remaining cheesecake mixture, smoothing the top surface.
  10. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.
  11. Before serving, garnish the top with chocolate shavings or a light drizzle of extra Baileys Irish Cream.

Notes

  • For an extra boozy kick, soak the cake crumbs lightly with a tablespoon of Baileys before layering.
  • If you prefer individual servings, use clear glass cups or jars for a beautiful presentation of the layers.
  • You can substitute the cake with chocolate brownies or chocolate fudge pieces for a different texture.
