Ingredients
Scale
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1 pound broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, toss the sliced flank steak with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir to coat everything evenly and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic and ginger.
You can substitute other cuts of beef like sirloin or skirt steak.
Ensure your ingredients are prepped before you start cooking, as this stir fry comes together quickly.
