Make soft, gooey cinnamon roll bites quickly without waiting for yeast. These poppable treats use simple dough to deliver the buttery, sweet flavor of your favorite rolls in minutes, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Glaze: 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Unroll the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces. You should have about 20 small pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together for the coating.
  4. In a separate small bowl, melt the butter.
  5. Dip each dough piece first into the melted butter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  6. Next, roll the butter-coated dough piece in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well covered.
  7. Arrange the coated dough pieces in the prepared baking pan, leaving a little space between them.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. While the bites bake, prepare the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk, a drop at a time, if the glaze is too thick.
  10. Remove the pan from the oven. Drizzle the sweet glaze evenly over the warm cinnamon roll bites.
  11. Let them cool slightly before serving. These are best enjoyed warm for that gooey texture.

Notes

  • For extra gooey centers, pour 2 tablespoons of heavy cream over the bites right before baking.
  • If you prefer an air fryer method, cook the coated bites at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes, checking frequently to prevent burning.
  • You can substitute canned biscuit dough with a simple no-yeast dough made from flour, baking powder, and yogurt if you prefer homemade dough.
