Make this rich, savory Creamy Parmesan Garlic Beef Bowtie Pasta for a satisfying weeknight dinner. This easy stovetop recipe features ground beef coated in a luscious garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 8 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until it is fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Add the bowtie pasta directly to the skillet. Stir well, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Heat through for 1 to 2 minutes, but do not let it boil once the cream is added.
  7. Season generously with salt and black pepper to your taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or extra Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use fresh garlic instead of jarred minced garlic.
  • If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of milk or reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Add 1 cup of fresh spinach during the last 2 minutes of cooking for added color and nutrition.
