This easy crock pot pulled pork recipe delivers tender, shreddable pork with minimal effort. Perfect for weeknight dinners or game day, serve it on sandwiches, in tacos, or in bowls.

  • 34 pound pork shoulder (Boston butt)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork.
  3. Pour the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is very tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a chopped onion or a few cloves of minced garlic to the slow cooker.
  • Adjust the amount of barbecue sauce to your preference.
  • This pulled pork is great for meal prep and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
