This easy bruschetta dip layers seasoned cream cheese with a topping of fresh marinated tomatoes and basil. It is a crowd-pleasing party appetizer that you can serve with crackers or pita chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces Boursin cheese (or 4 ounces soft goat cheese)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Pita chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Boursin cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a shallow serving dish or pie plate. This forms the base layer.
  3. In a separate small bowl, combine the halved tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Gently toss to coat the tomatoes.
  4. Let the tomato mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Spoon the marinated tomato mixture evenly over the cream cheese base.
  6. Serve the creamy layered bruschetta dip immediately with your choice of dippers.

Notes

  • You can prepare the cream cheese base up to one day ahead and keep it covered in the refrigerator. Add the tomato topping just before serving.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, drizzle a small amount of balsamic glaze over the top of the tomatoes before serving.
  • If you do not have Boursin, plain cream cheese works, but the Boursin adds significant herbed flavor to this easy bruschetta dip recipe.
