A simple and delicious peach cobbler recipe, perfect for summer gatherings and potlucks. This dump cobbler features juicy peaches and a golden, cake-like topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups sliced fresh or frozen peaches (about 68 medium peaches)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix. The batter will be thick.
  4. In a separate bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with the remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  5. Pour the peach mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe skillet.
  6. Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches.
  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the cobbler cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
  • If using frozen peaches, do not thaw them completely before using.
  • For a crispier topping, you can bake it uncovered.
