Make satisfying English muffin pizzas in under 15 minutes. This recipe is a fast dinner idea, perfect for customizing with your favorite toppings for a crispy, cheesy, homemade pizza flavor without the dough hassle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 English muffins, split
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices (or other preferred toppings)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for crispier base)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using an air fryer, preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the split English muffins, cut-side up, on a baking sheet. If you want an extra crispy base, lightly brush the cut sides with olive oil.
  3. Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly over the surface of each muffin half.
  4. Top each muffin with mozzarella cheese, distributing it evenly.
  5. Add your chosen toppings, such as pepperoni or vegetables, over the cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly browned.
  7. Alternatively, cook in the air fryer for 5 to 7 minutes, checking frequently until the cheese melts.
  8. If using a toaster oven, cook on a toast setting or at 400°F (200°C) for 6 to 8 minutes.
  9. Remove from the heat source and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For freezer-friendly pizza snacks, assemble the pizzas completely but do not bake. Place them on a tray in the freezer until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cook time.
  • Customize your base: Use pesto, BBQ sauce, or even a thin layer of cream cheese instead of traditional pizza sauce.
  • This recipe works well for breakfast pizza; top with a fried egg and bacon bits before baking.
