- 1.5 lbs tilapia fillets
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let the garlic brown.
- Stir in the lemon juice and cook for another minute. Remove from heat.
- Place the tilapia fillets in a baking dish.
- Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over the tilapia.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The exact time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a side salad for a complete meal.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
- Ensure your tilapia is cooked through but not overcooked to maintain its flaky texture.
