Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened. Baste the chicken with the sauce halfway through baking.
Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
For extra glossy chicken, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
This recipe is great for meal planning and can be reheated easily.
