A simple and healthy 20-minute oven-baked salmon recipe with lemon and garlic, perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels.
  3. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle the salmon with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper evenly over the salmon.
  6. Arrange lemon slices on top of the salmon.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. For a crispier top, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.

  • Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
