You can make this sweet, fluffy cinnamon butter at home in under five minutes. This recipe delivers the rich, restaurant-style flavor perfect for spreading on warm rolls, pancakes, or toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or use a large bowl with a hand mixer.
  2. Beat the butter on medium speed until it becomes light and creamy, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, honey, ground cinnamon, and salt to the bowl.
  4. Mix on low speed until the dry ingredients are incorporated, then increase the speed to medium-high.
  5. Whip the mixture for 3 to 4 minutes until the cinnamon butter is light, fluffy, and fully combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  6. Serve immediately, or transfer the whipped cinnamon butter to an airtight container and chill until ready to use.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your butter is truly softened, not melted. This helps you achieve that signature fluffy homemade butter texture.
  • If you prefer a stronger spice flavor, add an extra 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • This spread keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving for easier spreading.
