A quick and elegant skillet pasta with tender shrimp and orzo in a bright lemon-garlic butter and wine sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or date nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in cooked orzo and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve warm.
