Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and thyme.
  2. Place your steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated.
  4. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, depending on your preference for flavor intensity and tenderness.
  5. Remove steak from marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Cook steak using your preferred method (grilling, pan-searing, etc.).

Notes

  • For thicker cuts, you can increase the marinating time.
  • This marinade works well for flank steak, skirt steak, sirloin, and more.
  • Ensure you pat the steak dry before cooking for a better sear.
